User Management

User Management is the Administration module for inviting people to your Makaira account, assigning roles per instance, and revoking access.

You need the User Management permission (usermanagement.read / usermanagement.write). On the default roles that is the Owner role. Open it from the dashboard tile User Management.

For what each role can do, see Role Manager.

Invite a user

  1. Open User Management and create a user.
  2. Enter the email address. Makaira sends an invitation so the person can set a password (unless they already have an account).
  3. Map instances to roles. You can assign one or more roles per instance.
  4. Use * to grant the same roles on all instances.

If an instance is enabled with no role selected, Makaira assigns the default Content Creator role.

You can resend the invitation email from the user list.

Optional: when inviting, you can also create storefront credentials for that user if your workflow needs them.

Instances and roles

Access is always per customer and per instance. The same person can have Shop Manager on live and Content Creator on staging, or Owner on every instance via *.

SSO users (Azure AD) cannot change their email in User Management. Their access comes from Azure group mapping; see Single Sign-On.

Revoke access

Removing a user from User Management revokes access to this Makaira account. That is the product equivalent of deletion: they can no longer sign in to your instances.

You cannot revoke access for the user you are currently signed in as.

If the person still has access to another Makaira customer, that other account is unchanged.

Programmatic invite, list, update, and revoke flows are documented under Users in the Makaira API reference.
